Meet your newly appointed WSTE director, Robert Boone. Mr. Boone is a lifelong resident of Washington Parish. He taught Agriculture Education at Varnado High School for 30 years and then moved to Marion County Career and Tech in Mississippi where he taught construction and welding for 13 years. He is a former Holstein dairyman of 28 years and is currently raising beef cattle on his farm in Angie. He has served as a Washington Parish School Board member for the past 11 years. Robert is National Center for Construction Education and Research certified in construction and welding. He is a 1977 graduate of Varnado High School and a 1981 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in agriculture education. In 1985, he earned his master's degree in administration and Supervision from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a member of Stateline Missionary Baptist Church. Robert has been married to Jackie Ryals Boone for the past 42 years and they reside in Angie, La. They are the proud parents of five children and fourteen beautiful grandbabies.
